After having a family and a successful career as a Massage Therapist for 18 years, she went on to graduate with a Master of Science in Community Counseling from Oklahoma State University. Anthony West completed his Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University and then his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. Anthony was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving his country for 6 years and enjoys working with the local and military community. He has served in multiple training deployments across the globe and 1 combat tour in Iraq.

Becca has been with Improving Lives Counseling Services for over 10 years. She began her journey in administration and, with the encouragement and support of the CEO, decided to return to school. Becca earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from St. Gregory’s University and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. During the COVID shutdown, she completed her internship at Improving Lives Counseling Services, where she discovered her passion for working with children.

Currently, Becca is working on her Registered Play Therapy certification. She specializes in child-centered play therapy but will use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including non-directive and directive play therapy, sand tray, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) depending on the client’s needs. Brandi graduated from Oklahoma State University with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2002 and then completed her Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2004. Since that time, she has worked in an array of different clinical settings. She started her clinical training at the Child Abuse and Neglect and Child Study Center at OU Health Science Center and worked with youth in foster care in a variety of capacities with Casey Family Programs in OKC. After moving to Tulsa, she started working with Domestic Violence Intervention Services where she conducted crisis assessments, assisted with protective orders in a court setting, and conducted therapy groups with women and children victims of domestic violence as well as male perpetrators. Over the last 10 years, she has been working in a community based setting with adults, adolescents, and children with chronic mental and behavioral health issues including but not limited to those struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, depression, anger issues, PTSD, substance abuse, behavioral and impulse control disorders, and other trauma related and relationship issues. Brandi became credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2007 and is grounded in the Cognitive Behavioral Approach to therapy, however she utilizes a variety of other clinical techniques and skills in order to address the unique and personal needs of each and every one of the people she serves. I am a mother of two boys and 5 grandkids. I lost my one son in a car wreck in 2008. That is when I went back to school and got my degree in counseling. I worked in foster care at a foster care agency for 7 1/2 years, before I came full time to ILCS. It was definitely a very hard job but very rewarding at times. I love working with kids but also work with adults. I am also an ADSAC assessor. I love animals and have two dogs who are the biggest part of my life right now other than my husband. Chris started his journey to become a counselor 8 years ago out of his own desire to learn about mental health. Dominic graduated from Oral Roberts University in 2024 with a Master of Arts in Professional
Counseling. He spent the first half of his career in technology with a Bachelor and Master of
Science in Computer Science, serving as a co-founder and executive in a local cyber security
company. Dominic shifted to therapy out of a desire to partner with people in pursuing healing,
transformation, freedom, and growth. He also serves as an executive coach, and in both roles,
Dominic works from a strengths-based perspective that honors the values and beliefs of the

James received a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Oklahoma, where he continues to teach as an adjunct professor. Before becoming a licensed professional counselor, he was a world traveler, private pilot, high school English teacher in Southern California, volleyball coach, and student of creative writing at Stanford University.

Jason graduated from UCLA in 2002 with a Bachelor’s in Sociology. He received his commission into the Navy. While active duty, he completed his Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2014. Jason was licensed in 2017 in the state of Oklahoma as a Licensed Professional Counselor. He started with a non-profit in OKC where he did case management and individual therapy with low-income and housing challenged populations. In 2015, he transitioned to Navy Reserve Duty and moved to Fresno, CA where he worked with the VA program and Addiction programs, providing group and individual therapy for Veterans dealing with addiction and housing challenges. Jason then transferred to the Sacramento VA where he exclusively in the Outpatient Addictions Treatment program for Veterans, while maintaining his licensure in Oklahoma. He is completing his doctorate in psychology with CalSouthern University.

Currently, he is the lead therapist at a residential substance abuse treatment facility in Sacramento, CA where he provides group and individual therapy. He joined the Improving Lives Counseling team at the end of 2022 as a contract therapist. He is certified in brain spotting, motivational interviewing, and the VA Strength at Home program for perpetrators of domestic violence. He utilizes interventions from myriad modalities based on the needs of the individual.

Jennifer graduated from ORU in 1990 with a Bachelors in Music Education and graduated in 1992 with a Master of Arts in Counseling. Jordyn graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology from Northeastern State University and her master’s in social work from the University of Oklahoma. She is currently a candidate for her clinical license. She has worked in mental health for over 6 years providing resources and mental health services to adolescents and their families. She did her internship in an inpatient crisis center for adults who were experiencing suicidal ideation, substance use, and in crisis. Jordyn is experienced in sexual truama, grief, harm reduction, and working with many different disorders. Jordyn is currently working to become certified to provide equine therapy and specializing in working with military families.

A little about me. After raising three amazing kids I went back to school to obtain my Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. I always loved helping people work through their problems and decided to make it my profession. In my spare time I enjoy mountaineering, hiking, doing triathlons, playing the piano, and reading. However, my absolute favorite thing to do is spend time with my family, including my two dogs, Lucky and Z! By the way, Z is a therapy dog who comes with me to see clients. He is a gentle soul who seems to have a special knack for knowing when people need a little extra TLC.

Whether you are dealing with depression, anxiety, abuse, trauma, relationship issues, addiction, or simply feel stuck in life, I have developed tools to help individuals, couples, and families find a sense of hope and purpose and reach their goals. Leonard is a graduate of GCU with a masters of science in professional counseling and is a licensure candidate. He obtained his undergraduate degree in liberal arts with an emphasis in health care and religious studies from Excelsior College in New York. He loves to work with children and families. Helping them in the resolution of conflicts, adjustment and achievement of personal and collective goals has become an enduring passion and career focus. His skill set for this work has been developed over a span of 20 years in the career roles of clergy, licensed nurse and clinical chaplain. In such roles he has gained experience helping individuals and families facing troubles with trauma, grief, disability, theological belief systems, substance abuse, and gender adjustment. He refines this experience in his current matriculation toward the degree and role of professional counselor. Although he finds useful value in the vice and virtues of a number of theoretical orientations, choice theory and its applications have been found most intriguing and congruent with his worldview. Nonetheless, what works best for the client, patient or parishioner is what becomes the tool of choice in his work. Outside of work Leonard loves to occupy his time with horses, motorcycles, tactical sports, numismatics, antique collections, family, community volunteering and faith based activities. With over three decades of experience in the field, Linda has been practicing since 1992, specializing in a wide range of mental health services. Pat graduated from Rogers State University with a Bachelor of Science in Community Counseling and from Northeastern State University with a Master of Science in Counseling with a focus on Addictions. Prior to becoming a therapist, she was a registered nurse for many years working in both medical and mental health settings. Her professional interests and experience include treating issues such as: depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction and chronic illness among other problems. I am married and between my husband and I we have seven daughters and then we had a son. We only have 2 under 18 now. We have one granddaughter and another coming in August. Spending time with my family is my favorite thing to do. We love traveling together and going to the lake in the summer. My husband is a combat Marine Vet and we are involved in the CVMA which supports and helps combat veterans.
